Time to Shine Productions has begun raising funds for our film "Time to Shine." This inspirational and faith-based story, written by my wife, Jan, and I, is about a father who competes in an ultra-marathon race (100-miles) with his son, a Marine who was paralyzed in Iraq.
We will soon begin our fundraising campaign on Indiegogo.com with hopes of raising $1mil to make this feature film. Upon completion, our production company plans to donate 100% of the profits to injured war veterans. |
Fotolanthropy's Documentary titled Travis Mills: A Soldier's Story Completes Filming

Travis: A Soldier’s Story is Fotolanthropy’s new documentary film of the inspiring true story of United States Army Sergeant Travis Mills of the 82nd Airborne. On his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, SSG Mills was critically injured on April 10, 2012 by an IED (improvised explosive device) while on patrol. Due to the explosion, SSG Mills lost portions of both legs and both arms. He is only the fifth quadruple amputee from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to survive these type of injuries.
This is a wounded soldier’s unique and powerful story. Even though Sgt. Mills has endured this unimaginable tragedy, he fights daily to recover for his wife and one year old daughter and to live a fulfilled life. Travis is defying all odds by the progress he has made in under six months. His story has touched hearts across the globe.
In an emotional reenactment scene, I had the honor of playing Travis Mills' Sergeant Major who was deployed in Afghanistan with him. The scene depicts the first meeting between the two since the accident.
